Important lacrosse game tonight for Midget girls

Tonight's the night that Midget 2 (my daughter's team) plays host to Midget 1 for the first time this season. Games between New West teams are always ultra-competitive. The New West girls' lacrosse league tries to balance the teams as much as possible. Even so, each team usually comes out at the top of league rankings.

This year, there was a bit of controversy surrounding the selection of the teams. At the start of the season, I would have said that Midget 1 was the stronger team on paper. The Midget 2 girls, however, have a heck of a lot of spunk, play a good, strong game, and have extremely high morale, despite the fact that several players are suffering from major injuries (but still manage to show up for most games and practices to support the team).

Tonight's outcome is anybody's guess, but I'm betting that this will be the best game they play all season, and that the girls from both teams will have a blast.
