Interesting evening in the WLA

Three games took place last night, all of them with unexpected outcomes.

Game one: New Westminster Salmonbellies vs. Nanaimo Timbermen.
I monitored the first period of the game before I had to go out. New Westminster scored 5 goals while Nanaimo scored none. I expected a Bellies' win. Turns out the Timbermen scored 8 goals in the second period (including a hat trick by Cayle Ratcliff), with the Bellies scoring only 3. The score was now 8 all. At the end of the third period, the teams were still tied at 10 all, so the game went into overtime. Bellies' Sean Robinson and Nanaimo's Cayle Ratcliff each chipped in another goal, so the score remained tied.

Game two: Victoria Shamrocks vs. Langley Thunder
I don't know how they do it, but Langley is the only team that's managed to beat Victoria--and they've managed to do it twice! Final score: 12-10.

Game three: Burnaby Lakers vs. Coquitlam Adanacs
Burnaby's situation is the opposite of Victoria's. They can't seem to win enough games. Last night, however, they beat the only team they've been able to beat this season--for the second time! Both wins were in front of Coquitlam fans, too. Final score: 12-7.
