Hi-Oh Silver!
Today's trivia: Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Famer Harry Smith is Jay Silverheels, aka Tonto of the Lone Ranger series and movies. How cool is that?

Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame
The Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame is a neat little museum. I really wish, though, that their
website showed some of the historic photos and told a few of the stories of the sport. While I understand that they're on a very small budget, a more pronounced web presence could likely generate a lot of interest in the little hall/museum, which is currently housed in the local community centre.

Lacrosse in New Westminster
I have a couple of lacrosse stories in
West magazine [pdf] this month. The first one, about lacrosse in New Westminster, starts on page 28. The next one is about the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame, which also happens to be in New West. That story is on page 49. Check them out.
Yesterday they installed the wooden floor for the 2008 lacrosse season. Tonight my daughter's team played on it. The team is a bit disappointed that Queen's Park is not their home arena this year. So am I. Instead, we'll be at Moody Park, with its drab concrete and poor visibility (for fans. I'm sure the players can see just fine).
Oh, well. We'll still be spending a lot of time at Queen's Park watching the seniors and juniors play. Which reminds me: I need to buy my season's pass.
